New Executive Director – Chris Jinno

Chris Jinno joined APLU in January 2023 as Executive Director. This is a new paid position within the APLU and is dedicated to the development of Lacrosse in both existing and new countries in the region. His role includes development and fund raising for the support of growth, competition, coaching and officiating in the APLU region plus supporting any APLU events.

After being introduced to the sport in high school, he has dedicated the major part of his life to the development of lacrosse in Japan and Asia. His accolades include:- preparing travel teams for open lacrosse tournaments across the world, arranging youth clinics in Japan, and hosting a tournament in Okinawa, Japan.

Chris has represented the Japanese National team in both 2014 and 2018 at the World Championships plus continues to play lacrosse in Japan and internationally through joining open tournaments.

Professionally, he has worked as an accountant and law department and has experience in establishing entities across Asia, and optimizing business processes for efficient work.
